When I lived downtown in Oakwood my next door neighbor was a General Contractor, we shared a duplex. One weekend he moved a house to a vacant lot in the District, an event I would not have missed for anything.
I put together the video below documenting the move. Personally I think it's pretty amazing that they got it through the neighborhood with as little trouble as they did. It runs about 7 minutes.
