Michael M. Leary, Sr.

I'm a native of Raleigh and wouldn't voluntarily live anywhere else.

I am a native of Raleigh and after having moved away several times have always come back. I have lived in Longview Gardens for the past 8 years or so in 3 different houses and love the neighborhood. My mother, brother and ex wife all live in the neighborhood as well.

I'm a single dad to Michael, Jr. (Junior) who just started 1st grade and Robert (R.J.) who is 18 months old. We live with Nash, the numbskull dog, and a varying population of tropical fish.

My hobbies include woodworking, camping, canoeing and cooking. I cooked professionally for 13 years.

I am a graduate of Ravenscroft High School and have a BS, Cum Laude, in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.

For the last 13 years I have been the founder, owner and publisher of La Conexion, NC’s oldest continuously published Spanish language newspaper. The sale of the paper in the fall of 2008 has allowed me to pursue my Real Estate career full time after practicing part time for the previous 4 years.

Having lived here since I was seven years old (not saying exactly how long ago that was) gives me a unique perspective on the Triangle’s Real Estate Market. If I don’t immediately have the answer to a question you may have I will certainly know where to quickly find it.
